The Mayor of Vernier tells us about his experience at Birdhouse

Linked projects

The Birdhouse recently had the pleasure of welcoming the Mayor of Vernier, Mr. Agramunt, for a visit.

The Mayor, who was able to meet the team of trainers as well as the 15 apprentices currently in training, gave us his impressions:

  • If you had to describe the Birdhouse in three words, what would they be?

Enthusiastic, supportive and integrating.

  • What do you think are the advantages of having this type of establishment in your community?

I can think of at least two. One is the catering aspect. The food and drinks available or served in the Restaurant or Coffee Corner are of excellent quality. The price-quality ratio is also unrivalled.

Then there is the aspect of the Birdhouse concept. Thanks to this, the City of Vernier has a work integration restaurant for young people who have dropped out of school, which is a significant added value in terms of education and professional training.

  • What struck you most during your first visit?

The reception, the number of customers between 12.00 and 12.45 and the motivation of the staff struck me most during my first visit. This anthill works like a metronome.

  • Is there anything you would like to say to the Birdhouse apprentices?

You are lucky to be able to practice high quality professional skills under the formative and caring eyes of professionals, especially from the restaurant world. Take advantage of this, even if it is sometimes difficult to have certain behaviours corrected in order to acquire rigour and excellence in your profession. I wish you every success in your professional future!

The whole team would like to thank the Mayor for his attention and support
