Supporting, training and protecting street children and young people’s rights in Kinshasa
An estimated 30 000 to 50 000 children live on the streets in Kinshasa one of the poorest cities in the world. This project offers holistic support to these young people from their care in day centres, their return to school with a view to them returning to live with their own family to vocational training and helping placing them in the workplace. We also help develop and enhance the skills of our local partners.
- Promote and gain respect for children’s rights in the Democratic Republic of Congo
- Contribute to the care and support offered to street children
- Aid social integration of young people in Kinshasa
- Reinforce the autonomy of the REJEER partner network (actors working with street children)
